Types of Care at HealthBridge Chiropractic & Rehabilitation

The doctors evaluate each patient to determine the source of pain and why the body is not healing as well as it once did.  The first step in the evaluation is a patient’s physiological background and lifestyle.   The doctors then use a non-invasive state of the art computer program to diagnose two parts of the nervous system.  The first part includes the motor nerves. This diagnosis allows the doctor to determine which muscles are tight or weak as well as if there is postural distortion.  The second part is the autonomic nervous system that allow the doctors to determine if there are any disturbances to vital organs, glands and soft tissue.  If needed, x-rays are performed to determine if there is any spinal degeneration and/or imbalance.  After a thorough analysis the doctors will determine how Chiropractic can help restore a patient to optimal well-being.

Case Studies

Patient #1 - Allison

Allison is 32 years old and came to HealthBridge Chiropractic through the recommendation of a co-worker. For the past six months she suffered from daily sciatic, lower back pain as well as neck and shoulder tension.  The pain became so intense that she stopped going to the gym, had trouble sleeping, and could not sit at her desk for more than a few hours at a time.  The initial motor nerve scan, which detects stress on various muscles, showed that Allison had areas of chronic, severe and moderate muscle activity.

Six weeks later, after 12 visits to HealthBridge Chiropractic, a new scan of Allison showed about a 60% improvement in the neck and shoulder region.  There was a 35% improvement in the lower back.   At this point, Allison had less pain, less frequency of discomfort and was able to resume work-outs at the gym and also able to enjoy her home and work environment.

Patient #2 - Larry

Larry is 28 years old and came to see HealthBridge Chiropractic, because of neck, shoulder and hip pain.  He suffered from the pain for almost a year with the discomfort getting worse over the last three months.  Like so many people, Larry sits at a computer for 6-8 hours a day with his shoulders and posture slouching and his head leaning forward and down toward the computer.  Larry was forced to curtail his workouts and other recreational activities because of the pain.

After 12 visits and six weeks of care with HealthBridge Chiropractic, Larry had a remarkable improvement in both his ability to function better both at work and at home.  The mobility in his neck and lower back became more active and loose and his scan results clearly showed an improvement of about 40% in the neck and head region and a 60% improvement in the lower back area.  Larry was able to resume a more frequent fitness routine thanks to his care at HealthBridge Chiropractic.

Massage Therapy

The doctors' offices utilize massage therapy, including full body massage, to relax muscles and help with a patient’s recovery process.  Massage therapy is an integral part of our office practice and is recommended for a majority of our patients. For our chiropractic patients the prices for a full body massage performed by our licensed massage therapist are:
$30 for 30 minutes

Although the massage is not generally covered by insurance, it does qualify under many flex spending plans.

Hydromassage

Water is so pure and simple, yet it can do extraordinary things.

The therapeutic use of warm water, known as hydromassage, is a proven, natural remedy. The pressure of the warm water against your body creates an experience that is both rejuvenating and therapeutic.

The value of hydromassage goes far beyond the simple pleasure of warm water swirling around and massaging you.  It’s actually very good for you. Where hydromassage is applied, you will notice a relaxation of the muscles, increased blood circulation and relief of muscular pain and tension.

Hydromassage relaxes tight muscles just like a professional hands-on massage only in less time and without the labor or embarrassment of having to undress.

Corrective Exercise

The doctors teach their patients specific stretch and strengthening exercises to correct the weakened areas.  These exercises can be performed in their office and utilized at home.

Nutritional Counseling and Products

The doctors offer nutritional counseling geared toward each individual patient’s needs.  The doctors also advise specific supplements to enhance nutritional efficiency.

Physical Therapy

The doctors utilize specific therapies to reduce pain and inflammation when needed including moist, hot pads and ice.
